St Paul AMEC Clinton has provided spiritual guidance and comfort to residents of the Clinton-Gray community for over 144 years.

Pictured above are the direct descendants of the original founders of St Paul AME Church in Clinton, Ga.  Photo was taken around the early 1900s

On September 28th, 1912 the Corner Stone was laid.

During the 1995 AME Church conference year, several St Paul members gathered briefly after church service for a photo.  Although a bit older and wiser, most of these members still worship at St Paul today.

Throughout the years ... St Paul members have praised and made a joyful noise unto the Lord!  Pictured on the right,  the Gospel Choir poses for a picture after church service

St Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, Clinton Georgia was originally founded in 1868 on land donated a year earlier to the Blacks in the Clinton community by a White Friend.  Records show that the first pastor of St Paul was Reverend T.S. Crayton and the scribe or secretary was Mr. T.S. Clowers.  Since that time, several pastors have served at St Paul, Clinton with the current pastor being Rev. Dr. Gloria J. Wicker.  The members of              St Paul are very caring and active in their church and community.
